FRANK VILARDI OF THE BACON BROTHERS-

Many Thanks to Frank Vilardi of The Bacon Brothers for sending me this excellent pic. This is at sound check for The Bacon Brothers, and his kit with his live go-to snare-The 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 14. Frank is in the middle of an on-going and highly successful drumming career. He has recorded & toured with Suzanne Vega, Jewel, Donny Osmond, and a lengthy list of others. Truly looking forward to seeing The Bacon Brothers again very soon. They are an incredibly talented and diverse group, and a great bunch of guys as well. Thanks Frank...

RANDY WALKER OF 22 MEDIA PRODUCTIONS-BEIER 1.5 STEEL SNARE--5.5 X 15

Randy Walker of 22 Media Productions just received his Beier 1.5 Steel Snare--5.5 x 15 snare, and did a very nice clip of the drum. The clip illustrates the sound perfectly. The drum is wide open, and simply has a huge sound. Randy is a highly skilled professional and has performed with Pat Travers, Jani Lane, Big & Rich, Eric Martin, & Paul Rodgers at a 2008 Super Bowl Party. He also does video editing for Troy Luccketta of Tesla, Tesla the band, Todd Sucherman, George Lynch, and recently finished the audio book version of "My Life With Deth" by David Ellefson of Megadeth. UFO IN THE STUDIO FOR NEW ALBUM-SET FOR RELEASE EARLY 2015

UFO is currently rehearsing in Europe for their new record due out in early 2015. Andy Parker, a long time supporter of Beier Drums, will be using a variety of sizes of the 1.5 Steel Series on this entire record. This will be the fourth studio album Andy has used Beier Drums. MODERN DRUMMER JULY 14 ISSUE-REVIEW OF ADRIAN GALYSH'S "TONE POET" WITH TODD SUCHERMAN

NEW BLACKHAWK SINGLE-BROTHERS OF THE SOUTHLAND-MONTE YOHO AND PAUL RIDDLE

A new single is out for the upcoming Blackhawk album-"Brothers Of The Southland". Monte Yoho and Paul Riddle, the original drummer for The Marshall Tucker Band did a drum duet on this. Paul was playing the Beier 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 14, and Monte the 1.5 Steel--6.5 x 14. The album is set for release 7/8/2014. Thank You Monte & Paul...

ACHIM FAERBER IN LOW SWING STUDIOS IN BERLIN-NEW PRAG ALBUM.....

Achim Faerber (Eisbrecher, Project Pitchfork, Prag, Automat) has just finished the new Prag record due out late 2014. Achim used the 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 14 on this record, and uses it live with Prag. He also uses the 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 14 live for Project Pitchfork with the 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 15 as an auxiliary The record was recorded in Berlin at Low Swing Studios by Guy Sternberg. Guy also has a Beier 2mm Brass--6.5 x 14 in house. It is his top choice for Brass Snares,  and he has used it on many hit records, some #1 hits.

I had the huge honor being able to catch up with Simon Wright (Queensryche, Dio Disciples, Dio, Rhino Bucket, AC/DC, UFO) recently at a Queensryche show. Hard to describe how great this band is, and how stunning Simon's skills are. Few drummers play with as much power as he does...All with a fine touch and finesse. Great time & great staff in this band...Wonderful evening.

DREW McKEON-MICHAEL BOLTON WORLD TOUR-BEIER 1.5 STEEL--5.5 X 14

The multi-talented Drew McKeon just got back from Europe on the on-going Michael Bolton World Tour. Drew took his Beier 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 14 with him, and that was hugely appreciated here. This band is utterly incredible...Every single one of them, and Michael Bolton sounds better than ever. Thank You Drew....




UFO-ANDY PARKER-SEVEN DEADLY WORLD TOUR CONTINUES WITH BEIER DRUMS

UFO is back in Europe and continuing their Seven Deadly World Tour. Andy is a long time supporter of Beier Snare Drums, and plays them exclusively live, and in the studio. Andy always travels with a number of Beier Drums. Currently on this leg he is travelling with the Beier 2mm Brass Snare--5 x 14, and the 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 14. Back in the US he will be using his go-to: The Beier 1.5 Steel Snare--6.5 x 14.

Foghat was in town and Roger Earl was playing his new Beier 1.5 Steel Snare--5.5 x 13 for the show at my favorite venue-The Arcada theater in St. Charles, Illinois. The band and the show were spectacular as always, and the whole evening was a great time. The 13" snare drums are new & will be added to the 1.5 Steel Series by Fall of 2014. Automat with Achim Faerber behind the drum kit are scheduled to play Australia late 2014/2015. Achim is an avid supporter of Beier Drums, and used the 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 14 on their new release. Achim is also the drummer for Eisbrecher, Project Pitchfork, Prag, and many more. A true talent, and a great guy to boot. Congrats to Automat on their successful new band, release, and upcoming tour.
