NASHVILLE LEGEND DAVID NORTHRUP & HIS BEIER 1.5 STEEL--6.5 X 14....

Just received a great message from David Northrup (Oak Ridge Boys, Travis Tritt, Wynonna) from Nashville. He used his Beier 1.5 Steel--6.5 x 14 on a track from a new Christian Artist-Beck Moore. He put single-flange hoops with claws on the drum instead of the triple flange hoops that are on all of my drums.  He wrote the the drum was: "One of THE best sounding snare sounds I think I've had on a track, if not the best". Amazing feedback, and was hugely welcome here-Especially coming from one of Nashville's greats. Am really looking forward to the new release from Beck Moore, and will update this when it is out.

Look for him on tour currently with The Oak Ridge Boys and his 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 14. He will also have a 1.5 Steel--4 x 15 this Summer. Thank You David for everything....

"AMAZING drums, Fell in love with their incredible sound from the first time I played one of Troy Luccketta's. EVERYONE needs a Beier in their arsenal.....period"....David Northrup~

PAT McDONALD LIVE WITH CHARLIE DANIELS BAND-BEIER 1.5 STEEL SNARE--4 X 15

One of the finest drummers in music and all around good guy-Pat McDonald was in the area last weekend. It was great to see the Charlie Daniels Band back in the area again, and as they always do...They pretty much electrified the audience at The Arcada Theater in St. Charles. There wasn't a single person in that audience that wasn't moving. This band has been together for a long time, and they all come from pretty diverse musical backgrounds. Those styles show on and off during this show, and it comes together in a set that still is one of the great touring acts on the road.

This was the first night for Pat and his new Beier 1.5 Steel Snare--4 x 15. This particular one was in textured black coating. This drum is not your average 4" deep snare. It is heavy on the mids, has a great bottom end, and has an enormous overall response. Feedback from him was that he absolutely loved it. Special thanks as well to Shannon & Chris from the band for your comments....They were very much appreciated.

There are two links below for excellent webcam video clips from the night: One is a solo clip, the second is an hour of the show. This drum will be on the road with Pat along with his 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 14 & 6.5 x 14.

Thanks Again For Everything Pat McDonald....It is an incredible experience watching you play my drums...

JOHN 5 AND THE CREATURES LIVE IN CHICAGO-RODGER CARTER ON DRUMS-BEIER 1.5 STEEL--8 X 15~

I had the remarkable opportunity to see John 5 and The Creatures live in Chicago recently, and Rodger Carter was great as always about sitting down and using one of my drums for the show. This show, it was the new Beier 1.5 Steel Snare--8 x 15. It was the first time out for the drum live or in the studio, and I was really happy he was in town to give the drum it's first spin. The drum has a massive sound of course, and naturally focuses on mids.

This tour was an instrumental tour & was a three piece with newcomer Ian Ross on Bass. It was an amazing and unbelievable display of talent. They are a super tight, powerful, and very rhythmic trio. It is easy to see why they kept adding dates as the tour progressed. I have always been a big fan of instrumental albums, shows, etc.., Gary Hoey has always been one of my favorites, and Bill Leverty's "Southern Exposure" with Michael Foster on drums in recent times are among my favorite records. You simply have to be that good to do it...And these musicians who do it are.

John 5 said they will be doing this again, and it is truly something you will want to see and hear. The crowd absolutely loved this show. I have some excellent video clips I will be posting in the next couple of weeks from the evening. Thanks Again Rodger for putting the 1.5 Steel--8 x 15 to the extreme test. It was awesome to see you again, and am very grateful to have had the opportunity to see John 5 and The Creatures live.
