CHRISTOPHER WILLIAMS OF ACCEPT VIDEO-JARRED POPE OF THE TOM KEIFER BAND...BEIER 1.5 STEEL--6.5 X 14 & 5.5 X 14....

Sending out a big Thank You to Christopher Williams and Jarred Pope here this afternoon. Christopher just received his 1.5 Steel--6.5 x 14, and him and Jarred took the time out to video the unboxing, and record some clips of Christopher trying out the drum.

Jarred has used a number of my drums on different occasions with a number of artists. I got to see him live last Summer here, and it was one of the best times ever. It was a fly-date, so I brought my 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 14 out for him to play. He also has used a 1.5 Steel--6.5 x 14 & 6.5 x 15 live, and just recently now is starting up with a 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 14. He currently holds the seat for Tom Keifer, and is ecstatic about it. They are working all of the time, and I am hoping to see him live again with this band very soon. I am also really excited about an upcoming release from Damon Johnson. It was recorded live in Birmingham, Alabama, and Jarred used his 1.5 Steel--6.5 x 14 for the entire show.

Christopher Williams, like Jarred, carries huge respect withing the drumming community in Nashville. His name pops up out there, like Jarred's does, and he get's rave reviews on his playing, and as a person. In Nashville, if your looking for a hard rock/metal drummer....He is the main event. He has been touring the world with Accept, and is also is on their new upcoming release "The Rise Of Chaos". This Fall will hopefully bring this band to this area so I can see him live.

Thank You both for everything....

MICHAEL FOSTER & BILL LEVERTY IN THE STUDIO-NEW SINGLE-BEIER 1.5 STEEL--6.5 X 14....

Two of Rock's legends, and two of the greatest guy's I know, are back in the studio....Michael Foster & Bill Leverty of Firehouse.

This will be the second time in recent month's that they have gone into the studio, and the second time Michael has had his 1.5 Steel--6.5 x 14 with Bill to collaborate on a new single. The first time they released "You're A Natural" (January 22nd-Latest News) which is available on Bill's site (link below).  It is an incredible song, and it is always a thrill for me....Every single time I listen to it.

Michael & Bill have been playing together for over 25 years now, and to say they are in sync or play great together, would be an understatement. This single will reflect that, as it always does. Will update this when it is out...

Thank You Michael & Bill....

Venice is getting ready to release their new album "Into The Morning Blue", and he used his 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 15 on the track "Sunrise". There is a link to the video for this song below, and it is a must listen. Information on where to pre-order this record can be found on Venice' website as well.

Cannot say Thank You enough Erik for your use of that drum. Absolutely love what you did with this track. Great touching base as always......

MIKE HANSEN DRUM CLINIC-LONG & McQUADE'S KAMLOOPS STORE & MIKE SHAWCROSS-BEIER 1.5 STEEL--4 X 15....

Mike Hansen's drum clinic at Long & McQuade-Kamloops, B.C., is tomorrow at 7:00 pm. Mike will be using a 1.5 Steel--4 x 15 for the clinic outfitted with Aquarian Heads. His primary snare for the last three years live, and in the studio, has been the 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 15.

This clinic will be a huge hit with everyone attending. By far, Mike is one of the most enthusiastic & dynamic players out there. He has had a long career and has played with a long list of artists including George Lynch, Greg Marra, Paula Abdul, The Pointer Sisters, Hurricane, Bruce Bouillet, Paul Gilbert, Steve Vai, etc! He is one of the most personable and all-around fun players I have ever met as well.

Special Thanks to Mike Shawcross of Long & McQuade at the Edmonton North store. Mike
is a total pro, and I really, really appreciate him sending the 1.5 Steel--4 x 15 he had to the Kamloops store so quickly for the clinic. He is also very familiar with my gear, and can be contacted with any questions you have about Beier Drums. Link below for contact information for Long & McQuade N-Edmonton North Alberta.

Thank You Both......!

CONNECTICUT SPECIAL OLYMPIC SUMMER GAMES-STEVE MARKOWSKI-BEIER 1.5 STEEL--6.5 X 14-MICHAEL O'TOOLE & KEN COMBS PHOTOGRAPHY....

On June 10th, Sham Rock performed at Southern Connecticut University for the Connecticut Special Olympic Games. Steve Markowski had along his main, the 1.5 Steel--6.5 x 14.

That drum has seen non-stop action since Steve picked one up from Fork's Drum Closet in Nashville. His introduction to that drum was through Monte Yoho of The Outlaws. Monte has used that same drum for years now as his primary touring & recording drum. I hear from Steve frequently, and it is always fun to hear what he and the band are up to.

Michael O'Toole of the band has also been ultra-supportive of Beier Drums, mentioning me in posts, at the Connecticut Drum Show, posting pics, etc.., Huge Thank You as well to Ken Combs Photography for taking all of these images which are great, & allowing use of all of them in this post.

This band is actively involved in benefits which is something I really admire. I worked at one time with elderly people, and mentally/physically disabled people, and initiated an Animal Therapy Program at one institution. It is a type of work that every person should experience....Even if it is for a weekend. They band recently played as well Camp Courant which benefits kid's, and help's them go to camp when their parent's cannot afford it.

Thanks as always Steve for using one of my drums, and Thanks Again to Michael O'Toole & Ken Combs Photography.....

MAT DONALDSON-WESTON HORN AND THE HUSH-NEW RECORD-VIDEO-ROCKLAHOMA-BEIER 1.5 STEEL--8 X 14...

Mat Donaldson has been great to deal with since the day he contacted me. He was interested in a 1.5 Steel--8 x 14 in Gloss White to match his Ludwig kit, and he has had the drum for over a year now. He was also looking for a drum that was going to be his main, and this drum has been since the day he got it. He was referred to me by an industry player and friend who is one of the all-time greats in drumming.

His band, Weston Horn & The Hush, are set to release their debut this coming Friday on June 23rd. The release party will be in the IDL Ballroom in Tulsa, Oklahoma. They are also just coming off a recent appearance at Rocklahoma, & have an excellent new video out for one of the track's on the record: "Just Can't Stop". These guy's are a knockout.....And there is no doubt the record will be as well.

Looking forward to this record Mat. Thank You for using your 1.5 Steel--8 x 14 on it, and your non-stop use of it as your main drum.

TRACY BROUSSARD'S NEW PEARL KIT-BLAKE SHELTON TOUR-BEIER 1.5 STEEL--6.5 X 14....

Nashville legend, and one of the nicest guy's on the scene, Tracy Broussard, just hit the road with Blake Shelton for their 2017 Doing It To Country Songs Tour.

He is playing a simply stunning new kit from Pearl-A Master's Maple Custom in Vermillion Sparkle. And from what I have read so far....he is pretty thrilled with it. Pearl, to me, is one of the greatest drum companies ever. They are a huge company, and continue to grow every year like most of them. But the way they do it, is what I really admire. They introduce new gear like everyone does, but it is with a defined purpose, and not just to add something "new". To have my 1.5 Steel--6.5 x 14 with him on the road behind his Pearl kit, is really, really incredible to me.

Thank You Tracy For Everything.....Hope to see you soon.....!

MIKE ZIMMERMAN-CMA FEST 2017 IN NISSAN STADIUM WITH KENNY ROGERS-BEIER 1.5 STEEL--6.5 X 14...

Mike Zimmerman was at CMA Fest in Nissan Stadium with Kenny Rogers last week, and he had along his 1.5 Steel--6.5 x 14. That drum has been his go-to main for Kenny Rogers The Gamblers Last Deal 2016-2017 Tours, & he also has a 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 14 which he has used.

Was delighted to see that this tour was extended, and will be seeing Mike this October in Chicago. I caught up with Mike when they rolled through Wisconsin at the Resch Center in Green Bay, Wisconsin on the last leg, and it really was a great time. He is an incredibly skilled player with a great story, has been a great supporter of Beier Drums, and I gotta tell you...This guy cracks me up. It is great hanging out with him and this band, and am really looking forward to seeing them this Fall.

Great to see you had your family along Mike. It really looks like you all had a lot of fun. I really, really appreciate you having your drum, and will see you soon....

DAVID NORTHRUP'S KIT-BOZ SCAGGS TOUR 2017-BEIER 1.5 STEEL-5.5 X 12.....

David Northrup is out on the road now for the Boz Scaggs 2017 Tour. I am thrilled as always that he would include one of my drums in his kit. This time it is the 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 12. This is a drum he has used in clinics along with his 1.5 Steel--6.5 x 14, and for several shows with the Oak Ridge Boys.

This drum also, as it has been noted on numerous occasions, has been a great addition to the 1.5 Steel Series, and was done because of his advice after one of our discussions at a show. I would not be doing this drum if it wasn't for him. As one of the legends of the drum world his insights are incredible, and he is someone I truly value as a friend, and counsel.

Thank You David....Congrats Again on the new gig. Hope to see you soon!

CHAD MELCHERT-NEW PROMO PICS-GRETSCH MARQUEE KIT & GRETSCH ARTIST OF THE MONTH...

A very big Congratulations going out to Chad Melchert (Gord Bamford) who was chosen Gretsch Artist Of The Month for June, and on his new acquisition of a Gretsch Marquee kit. To add to that, he is also been nominated for the CCMA Drummer Of The Year for 2017 which he won in 2016.

He also recently had a series of promo shots done with all of the products he uses and endorses. I really appreciated him including his Beier Drums which he uses as his mains: 1.5 Steel--4 x 15 & 6.5 x 14. Those two drums he uses by choice, and it is always, like with all players....A source of huge pride here.

Chad will be starting with another drum from Beier Drums the beginning of July, and I think it is going to be a big-big hit with him. Thank You Chad....You & Theo Brown are my Canadian brothers....

NEW CLIP FROM SAM LUMSDEN IN SCOTLAND-BEIER 1.5 STEEL--5.5 X 14-UPDATED-6/19....

Scotland's finest drummer and instructor, Sam Lumsden of First Class Drums in Inverness, recently posted another clip of him playing. This is one of a long line of them he has done with his 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 14. Once again, and as always....He illustrates his diversity, expertise, and academic approach to playing drums in which he could easily explain his technique, and does with his students.

Always awesome Sam.....Thank You for your comment, and for your non-stop use of the 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 14. Let's talk soon....Be great to catch up.....

UPDATE: New clip below from Sam below covering Paramore Hard Times with his 1.5 Steel--5.5 x 14!
